Report on our international student welcome event

International students were welcomed on Monday 13 September, in the presence of the President of the University, Eric Carpano, the Vice-President in charge of Europe and International Relations, Manuel Jobert, and several representatives of the Lyon Consular Corps.

Welcome to international students

As every year, the University’s international students were invited to celebrate their arrival at our institution. They met on Monday 13 September from 11.30am to 2.00pm to spend time together in a convivial setting.

On their arrival, they were able to meet the International Relations team and to discover the University’s associative life thanks to the ESN Cosmo Lyon association.

They were then welcomed by the President of the University Eric Carpano and the Vice-President in charge of Europe and International Relations Manuel Jobert. Mr Bruno Dufour, Chief of Protocol for the Consular Corps, also took the opportunity to welcome them.

After these speeches, the students were able to meet and talk to the consuls of their countries. Nearly 15 consuls had come to welcome the newcomers.

The meeting ended with an international concert in the Cour Nord by the Swingin’Lyon 3 association: a guaranteed change of scenery!
